In Detail

This massively strong polyurethane glue is economical to use, has a fast initial grab in 5 to 10 minutes and a firm bond in 4 hours. Full cure will require 24 hours. After setting, the bond is very stable resisting 'creep' , immersion in salt water and exposure to the elements. Fast Grab will also bond with cement, metal and many combinations of materials.

Excellent glue, but beware shelf life

I have used PU glues for years and find them exceptionally good glu. incredibly strong, waterproof, easy to clean off the foamed excess, no moisture affect and stick just about anything to anything else. The only warning is they don't have a very long shelf life as they cure by reacting with moisture. A bit of a problem in our climate!
I learnt this the hard way, literally, when I came to use the second bottle of glue that I had purchased six months earlier, only to find it a solid, hard block!
A little tip: nail varnish remover (acetone) will clean it off your fingers provided you wipe them before it sets!

Fantastic filler recipe

Mix this with sanding dust and powder pigment, fill, cover with wide sellotape and clamp on a flat board to contain foaming. Half hour later remove tape, 15 minutes later sand for perfect repair for splits, knots etc. with better adhesive qualtiies than filler and takes stains too.

Great stuff but requires care

Really strong, dries nice and quickly and lacking moisture content, doesn't cause thin pieces to bend. Ideal for veneering, but take care to clamp evenly because the glue foams up and can push thin veneers apart. Get the hand wipes or keep a bottle of alcohol handy because this stuff sticks incredibly tenaciously to skin! After trying this stuff, I doubt I will ever buy PVA again. Recommended.

Very Fast drying

A superb glue that I use for veneering small areas, dries extremely quickly and is light in colour so bleed through is all but unnoticeable. As with all Polyurethane glues is more messy than PVA, but as it has no moisture content so doesn’t upset the balance of even the thinnest of substrates, so you can make your own ultra thin plywood- which remain stable and flat.
